Here Comes the Sun

Sharing some photos fresh off the camera yesterday.

I'm so happy the sun has started to shine again—it's still cold, don't let it fool you—but my affinity for shadows means that semi-harsh lighting is actually some of my favourite photoshoot conditions. This outfit is something I would wear to the office, and have definitely worn some variation of it already. Sometimes I feel like my office wear can look a bit old lady-like, especially with these Nicholas Kirkwood block heel mules, but hey, that's what's in right now with the vintage movement right? I'm going to keep embracing it, anyways.

As it gets warmer, you're going to be seeing these Aritzia trousers a lot more. They're made from a wonderful breathable material so it'll actually be bearable to wear into the depths of summer.  Plus, white with anything is just so so good. I recently started pinning again (something that always comes and goes for me) and my summer inspiration board has been filled with all sorts of white and linen outfits. I so can't wait until I can style those sorts of outfits in full force. I've already started accumulating some pieces, but the opportunity (read: summer) just hasn't struck yet.

Anyways, I originally wasn't going to put up a post today, but I ended up being quite happy with how this set of photos turned out. So here we are then.
