Spring, are you here yet?

Ever since January ended, I've had false hope in my heart that the weather will soon perk up.

Unfortunately, Toronto just doesn't operate like that. At this rate we'll be lucky to have some proper weather by April, although I've already firmly put a ban on shopping for sweaters and coats. I may have to give this up, depending on how much longer this weather lasts. In fact I just ordered two summer tops that probably won't see any wear until a good 3 more months.

With the dreadful weather, any opportunity for indoor shoots are so welcome and I fully took advantage of the multiple rooms at East Room this past weekend. It's always good to have change of scenery to inject some new inspiration. For me, traveling is the best route for that change but of course, that's not always possible. Even all the usual brunch and coffee spots in the city are starting to become stale... that's why I'm so thankful that my friend brought me to East Room! Not to mention these earthy, warm tones are totally on point with everything I love right now. It really makes me wish I was able to work in this type of creative space all the time.

Lots of usual favourites in this outfitβ€”on that fall shopping ban, right! These Wilfred & Citizens of Humanity jeans have been on high rotation, I must wear them at least once every weekend. They just add that boost of freshness to any winter outfit. I've worn this pair so much I'm now looking for another pair of white jeans in a slimmer cut, just so I can change it up a bit.

Also, my favourite layered Mejuri necklaces: the longer Zodiac necklace paired with the shorter Engravable necklace. These are a great combination to wear with a low-cut top or with a fitted turtleneck and I usually don't leave the house without at least one of these two necklaces.

The only item that you probably haven't seen me wear in awhile are these Zara mules. I seriously can't wait for the warmer weather to wear them more... right now they're one of the pairs that I leave at work to change into at the office, haha. I had to take advantage of an indoor location though (aka warmth and not losing feeling in my toes) to bring them out.

I'm so ready for the weather to warm up!
